Two workouts from ExerciseTV you might like

Lisa,
I also second the recommendation to bring KCM Body Training and Cathe's TravelFit.

I just came back from a trip and this time I brought along two downloaded workouts from ExerciseTV that I highly recommend:
Band Workout with Paul Katami (20 minutes)
Total Body Band Workout with Marco Reed (10 minutes)

I did both workouts in one workout session for a 30-minute full body blast. I just played them on my PC, I brought two resistance tubes along but really only needed a moderate-resistance tube.
Have fun on your trip!

Well, if it makes you feel any better, within about 2 days of reading some posts on the everyday check-in, I bought a Wii game 'Walk it Out' because their 'time on the island' sounded like vacation! My DH just rolled his eyes! LOL

Tonique 1
Slim in 6 Burn it Up
Slim Series Firm It Up
P90x+ Intervals X+
BBL Bum Bum disc
CLX Deluxe dvd (w/ Fat Burn Challenge, Get Lean Intervals & I've Got Abs)

None of them are space hogs. All of them work my legs & have some cardio factor. One resistance band & I'm good.

I always bring workout dvds, even on beach vacations where we're doing lots of activities. Dvds provide options when it's raining or when the rest of the family is chilling.

I like to bring Ellen Barrett Studio workouts with me No equipment needed, and they are short (I often cut them down to 30m) and are always mentally feel good workouts. I also usually bring some yoga and pilates. I ALWAYS bring more videos than I end up needing! As a VFer I like to have choices

I always bring my running gear too, especially for such a scenic vacation as at the beach. I like to have an early run or walk (whatever my energy level is) as well as a sundown one at the beach. I'm going to OBX next week!!

This time at OBX my sister and I (who usually go alone) are going with our parents, and staying in a small condo, so not sure how my videos are going to work (space and privacy concerns ). And our vacations aren't usually "active", more of a gigantic shop til you drop session! I guess that's still walking around...of course shop til you drop is usually joined by the sister activity munch and eat til you drop

I'm another who schedules activities in lieu of my regular fitness videos. We tend to go hiking or on lots of walking while on vacation, for example.

I will bring some yoga and maybe some Pilates.
My current must bring on vacation is actually my Yoga Tune Up balls from Jill Miller (substitute: tennis ball or Pinky Hi-Bounce ball); I've ripped the tracks from her CDs and will put them on my iPod.

I took a Sage Rountree yoga book and Ana Forrest's now out of print yoga deck. At some point I hope to load an ipod with audio practices. But for most days of my last trip, I improvised a flow for 20 minutes.

Just make sure you bring a portable DVD player! I posted this question a few weeks ago, got some great advice, packed my DVD's and equipment, then forgot to bring the player so I couldn't use them. DOH! I got by with running, walking, and doing various exercises with my resistance bands but I was really mad at myself for being so stoopid!

Make sure the accommodation you book has a DVD player. Most of them do.

You take fitness dvds on your vacation? Really?? Now, I don't feel like I'm a real vidiot! I don't take any fitness dvds on my vacation, instead, I do a LOT and I mean a LOT of walking and exploring. I just pick up with dvds when I get home.
