I have two books on the go right now....The Long Way Home, an Inspector Gamache mystery by Louise Penny, & Lock Every Door, another mystery by Riley Sager. I just finished The Poppy Field by Deborah Carr, a very enjoyable easy chick lit read. I also recently finished The Chocolate Cream Pie Murder, a fluffy Hannah Swenson mystery by Joanne Fluke & Never Have Ever a mystery/suspense offering by Joshilyn Jackson.

just finished reading Me by Elton John. I was pleasantly surprised. whether he wrote it or had help, it's a good read. i've been a fan for a long time, but never read any biography about him for fear it would be done badly. i've owned & played his sheet music for ages, knew about his history, and own most of his classic CDs.

I just popped in to check out this thread and saw this. I listen to audiobooks in my car while driving to/from work. I use a kindle and read during lunch at work, while I am in waiting rooms for appointments, and while standing in long lines. The latter two keep me patient instead of irritated for waiting, and reading at lunch helps give me a mental escape during the work day.

I keep my TBR pile electronically in Goodreads so I don’t look like a hoarder. It’s about 300 books long and always growing as I belong to a reading group on FB that constantly gives me new ideas for books to read. I read according to my mood, and try to get library books on my kindle instead of buying when I can. It’s okay to have a huge TBR list. It gives you a variety to choose from and you may never get through it if it’s always being added to...make peace with it

I keep a list on Goodreads too, but it's usually only around 14 books long. I make my way through them, one by one, and replace them with new ones.

Thanks as always difit! I haven't read anything by Marian Keyes in a long time.

I haven't read anything by any of these authors, ever. I'm still reading A Death in Vienna by Frank Tallis. But I'm enjoying the PBS series, Vienna Blood, more than the book. I don't think I'll read the rest of the book series.

Thanks, dfit! I had already asked my library to order the Marian Keyes. I keep an eye out for new books by authors I enjoy.

I have to check if the Claire Allan book is new or a reissue. Since she was published in England years ago, I think some of her books are finally getting released here.

I enjoyed a few other books by Minka Kent, so I will definitely read her new one.

I'm about 20% through "American Dirt" which was Oprah's controversial pick for her bookclub this month.

So far, it's interesting and has kept my attention. I'll come back and give a better review when I finish it.

I only realized that this series existed as of yesterday. Perfect timing to get caught up on the first two episodes then watch the third on PBS as it aired.

I look forward to seeing what they do with the show.

Reading the first few pages of A Death in Vienna, I think the book would just annoy me. I'm not fond of historical novels that skimp on the right sorts of details. Most authors can't do it. Weirdly, I'm much less annoyed by tv movies that make the attempt, LOL!
