I bought the new fit tower and love it. I can see myself using for the new CAThe DVDs that I preordered and I can use it for barre workouts now.

I wanted to report back in.

I have had the fit tower for two weeks now and I love it. It is solid and, I think, very well built (though I don't really have anything to compare it against). It was easy to put together. The padded bar is comfortable and, again, solid and very easy to move up and down. The barbell clips are easy to get on and off, and I have used them with my bench with no problem. I take the top off and store the base and top separately in my closet. There are two large handle screws at the bottom that you use to separate the top and bottom. While I would far rather leave it out, since I don't have a separate room for working out, I use the close for now and don't find set-up/take-down onerous in the least - just like another step in setting up my regular gear.

The three DVDs that came with it have me very excited to see what Cathe will be coming up with for the new workouts. They are each divided into upper, lower, abs and stretch and I have been using the separate chapters as add-ons to my regular workout. Great for ideas of how to incorporate the fit tower into your workout. And the stretches are fabulous. I wouldn't necessarily recommend these particular DVDs as a separate purchase, particularly for advanced exercisers and at current prices, but I am thrilled they came with the fit tower for the ideas they have given me on moves for workouts.

All in all, a big thumbs up and I can't wait for the new workouts!

At the Cathe road trip last month, Cathe said that the DVDs will be available for purchase separately, and that while it is helpful to have the Fit Tower, it is not essential for the workouts. I will buy the DVDs, but not the Fit Tower.
As much as I'd love to have the tower, we do not have the room since relocating to Colorado. I use my bar counter or a chair. Not as cool but hey, I'm doing it!

I have Cathe's original tower, still in the box.

If anyone has seen both in person, it the new one very different? I definitely cannot justify buying the new one since I haven't even used the old one. I'm hoping I could purchase the advanced DVDs & use them with the "old" tower.

(In a rare fit of frugalness (apparently not a word ), I did not buy. I thought I"d save the money and subscribe to Cathe Live a couple of months.)

Wow, looks like a thigh burner.

(And thank you, Cathe, for reminding me that I should try the Tower for my Body Beast pull-ups/chin-ups instead of fussing with the door band).
