QueenCici, before you drop those kind of bucks, take a close looks at the ingredients. Then think about the amounts of those ingredients that are including in the product. Ask yourself if it's really worth it to drop that kind of money on it. Compare to price to other protein powders. Think hard. Don't be swayed by the hype.

Yup, that's the base retail price (10% discount if you are a TBB member, 25% discount if you are a coach).

Just like any other drink mix, you can make it without a blender, but you may or may not like the consistency. I will often fill my shaker bottle with water, dump in the Shakeology, and run out the door literally shaking it as I'm running to my car. That works just fine. It's not nearly as creamy and smooth as when I use the blender with ice in the morning, but it's fine for me. Admittedly, I have a very high tolerance for texture/taste, etc., so maybe others would have a totally different opinion. When you mix it up in a blender with some ice, it turns it into an ice cream shake like consistency. God, it's good that way.

You could use it as a recovery drink, although as is it would be a bit high in protein if you usually shoot for a 4:1 ratio (carbs : protein).

Yikes! I just lost a couple of pounds after I read that price!

ETA: Here is an interesting article about how to choose a protein shake:

I'm always a little nervous about taking something that's supposed to give me energy. Look at Hydroxycut

Pretty much anything with calories could made that claim. Actually, you could say that of food. Again, beware of the hype. If it's really so great, it would have independent studies supporting it's claims. Has anybody seen any?

Interesting article, but I'm dismayed that they mention a recommendation of Slim-Fast if you're trying to lose fat. There must be more healthful options out there!

As soon as I read that a product clears the body of toxins, my eyes glaze over. Just eat organic. It's a lot cheaper compared to stuff like this.

Or just plain healthy...lots of the (here we go again...and this time this thread will be closed!) old veggies, fruits and whole grains. Lean protein.

FWIW, I do pretty good with a balanced healthy diet and plenty of water. I'm 56 and on the go (don't have a desk job) all day and manage to keep up the pace til about 9 p.m. (we get up at 4:30 a.m. M-F). And I am rarely out sick, despite my asthma. Something is working for me (I was blessed with good genetics...except for obesity and Diabetes Type II)

Merely commenting on the question about the blender.
I am a "fan" of Chalene's on FB. She is traveling to NY this week and she says she uses the Magic Bullet on the road for Shakeology shakes for the whole family.
It is amazing how often she posts about Shakeology on her wall.

I LOVE my magic bullet!!! I use it for my protien shake every morning and love not having to wash a huge blender canister and a seperate glass every day. I have had it for a few years and its still going strong, though I have heard of people blowing the motors on theirs.
