seated workouts on you tube to do with sprained ankle?

Does anyone have any suggestions? I found some seated workouts, but some of them use the lower body, which I cannot do right now. I sprained my ankle last Friday. I am so upset-I had just gotten back to regular exercise and was halfway through the Summer Sadhana. I also had just bought the Ravi/Ana dvds that were missing from my collection, PiYo and another yoga dvd. I can't use any of them for at least three weeks.

Thanks for any input-
Sherry

sherry - sorry about your ankle!

without a video: one thing i've noticed myself doing - tighten abs, sitting in a chair, flat palms on seat of chair, using arm strength, lift up my butt up off of the chair.

if the chair has arm rests, you can place your palms on that instead of the seat of the chair.

3 sets of 12 reps. brief rest in between sets.

Plenty of chair stuff on youtube including jessicasmithtv.
Try a search for *chair Zumba*, *chair exercises*, even *chair yoga*, etc.

Most standing routines with an upper body and core focus like kickboxing can be done sitting with alittle tweaking.

Hopefully, you tried Arnica gel immediately after the injury

(ETA: don't forget MUVE chair routines too!)

I injured myself away from home and did not have Arnica gel with me. I found the seated Zumba and chair yoga. Thanks!

Sherry, so sorry to hear about your ankle! It's frustrating to be sidelined like that!

Have you heard of Paul Eugene? He has at least one chair workout & he's positive, upbeat & fun. He has a free channel on You Tube.

Hope your ankle heals quickly!

Not on YouTube, but don't forget about the old standby, Margaret Richard's Getting Better.

So sorry about your ankle, Sherry! Hope it heals fast!
