I have cookies disabled on my iPhone, plus use DuckDuckGo and there is still website data to be deleted after every session. There are two steps to deleting data on your phone.

To see the cookies: Open Settings, go to Safari, scroll to the bottom to Advanced, open Website Data. You'll see stored data. You can clear data there.

To clear history and data: Open Settings, go to Safari, scroll down to "Clear History and Website Data." Tap to delete data.

Not everyone wants to delete their history. I do and do both steps every time.

I also turn off the settings for websites so that websites can't use my camera and microphone.

It's a PITA, but worth it to me.

Oh, and there are some Privacy settings on the iPhone you can use to limit ad tracking.

Go to Settings and scroll down to Privacy, go to Advertising, turn on "Limit Ad Tracking." Then, Reset your advertising Identifier. You have to reset this regularly.

I think so, too.

I had tried it with a couple of links before, and it didn’t tell me anything that wasn’t apparent from skimming through the reviews.

These days, I pretty much assume a good half or more of positive online reviews are fake. Maybe up to 100% if it is a knock-off product that comes up on amazon in a search.

Thanks VintageVFer! I did the settings and cleaning you suggested on my phone. It was amazing how many cookies were on my phone and many from sites I would never thought they would. I will do maintenance in the future, too.
