Just saw Dick Van Dyke on ET and he looks good. He's 90. He doesnt look a day over 70 to me. He says he goes to the gym everyday. Joy Behar is another person who looks good. She's 73. Ernestine Shephard is the woman!

What I love about Dick Van Dyke is how agile he's stayed. There is no stiffness in his gait at all and he's still dancing away. I remember seeing him a couple years ago on the TV Land awards and when he went up on stage, he literally bounded up with ease. I hope I can grow old that gracefully. I LOVE this video, by the way - his wife is adorable!

Dick Van Dyke was interviewed on a Philadelphia radio station a few weeks ago-even early in the morning (and he might have been calling from the west coast) he sounded totally alert, and he discussed how all the people his age who kept moving all the time were doing so much better than the ones who stopped moving and gave up exercising or just daily activities.

oops-it wasn't a few weeks ago-it was October!

Dick van Dyke is simply amazing! I read an interview where he auditioned for a non-dancing part in Bye Bye Birdie. He got the part and then did a little soft-shoe in celebration. The director said, "Wait. We have to cast you for the dancing part."

DvD replies, "I don't know how to dance."

"We'll teach you"...

The rest is history.

Dick Van Dyke battled alcoholism for years and was a heavy smoker as well. He gave up both. Goes to show making heathy choices like this can add years to your life.
