Thanks for this thread. I have been plagued with a cranky hip as of late, plus I have some lower back stuff going on too thanks to a rear end accident a few months ago.

I discovered Ana Caban last year and I really like her, time to bust out the small stash of pilates DVDs that I have and put them to use. I have my old standby Winsor Buns/Thighs which I used to do a lot. I also felt that my abs were stronger when I was doing pilates regularly. This thread is encouraging me to get back into it.

I need more pilates and yoga in my life, no time like the present.

In response to Flamingoo (what are my favorites?) and Rhonda (do I have a rotation?), here is what I have planned for next week:

M: Cathe's Flex Train + Zumba
Tu: A Susan Chung boxing premix + The Firm Sculpt and Tone Pilates
Wed: Ellen Barrett's Sleek Sculpt Express + TRX lat rows + foam roller w/o
Thurs: KCM's Cardio Pump + 20 minutes on the reformer
Fri: spin class
Sat: spin class + Barre Amped UB + Kathy Smith's Project You leg workout
Sun: flexibility/recovery workout on the reformer and Pilates springboard (plus an active day in general)

I get my refomer workouts on Pilates Anytime. My favorite DVD workouts are

Ana Caban -- Total Body Toning
Andrea Orback --Supermodel Butt and Thighs (floor band)
Andrea Speir -- Perfect Pilates Body (EXCELLENT 10 min segments)
Jules Benson -- Total Core Pilates
Karen Voight -- Total Body Pilates
Mari Winsor -- Buns & Thigh
Molly Tittle -- Quick Cut Pilates
Pilates for Men series

I also like Janice Lennard's Pilates, but it is not chaptered. Her leg segment with the resistance band is righteous.

Although I'm not doing any of my favorites this week, I try to justify my rather, ahem, extensive DVD collection (note the nods to the Cathe and Ellen phases) and my equipment (weights, TRX, reformer, springboard, weighted gloves, foam roller). I like to mix it up, be consistent, feel worked out (but not too worked out), and feel deliciously loose in my bones -- all in about 45-60 minutes per day.

Thanks! Glad to see you don't do pilates everyday. I was thinking every other day around 15-20 minutes.

Inspired by this thread, I did an oldie this morning. Winsor Buns/Thighs, I really enjoyed it! I should try and do this one a few times a week and see what it does.

Thanks for starting this thread!

It does look like she is doing pilates nearly every day, or at least some fusion type workout that incorporates pilates. I counted five days of pilates/ or pilates fusion workouts. I really like this rotation, it would just be too long for me. I can't go for an hour every day any more.

Thanks Bubbles, I am with you I don't do long workouts anymore. 30-40 minutes in the morning is max for me and maybe 15 minutes when I get home from work.

When I was looking at the rotation I was seeing the "pilates" titles and counting, not paying attention to the fusion ones. Thanks for correcting me.
