Barlates - Free Workout Question?

Hi, I noticed these are the fusion of yoga, pilates, ballet barre and low impact cardio that I like (and I know they are well liked here)

Just wondered ....do you feel there is plenty of her free content online to get a large variety of workouts?

ETA: Also, are the videos that come up on her website that you can NOW view free forever? or is she having some sort of special?

Also what are some of your favorite free ones that use light hand weights?

There are plenty of free Barlates workouts on Linda's youtube channel to keep you occupied for quite some time.

I use her youtube workouts a lot more than the DVDs of hers that I have. Altho I love her DVDs too. Everything she does is great and she has a lot of variety on youtube, just take a look1

Yes, all of her free content is WAY more than enough to keep you occupied for years! I have bought alot of her stuff but I use the free stuff just as much.

If funds are low then why would you consider buying anything? Just use what's free & enjoy.

Thats definately what I do. there are more workouts on youtube for exercise ADD than i could ever use in a lifetime!

Linda made a workout schedule that I modified so that all the workouts were the free ones from her you-tube channel. I only did 9 days before I started missing TA and Tonique too much. I learned that I love her lower body barre style workouts the best. If you need a schedule to get you going, here is mine:

This rotation is based on the following split:
Day 1: Upper Body and Abs
Day 2: Lower Body
Day 3: Total Body
Day 4: Upper Body
Day 5: Lower Body and Abs
Day 6: Total Body
Day 7: Active rest or yoga/stretching workout

Week 1
Day 1: 5 best back fat exercises 14 min + 5 best arm toners 13 min + pilates core blast 18 min = 45 min
FREE BACK FAT Workout 5 best back fat exercises BARLATES BODY BLITZ
FREE BARRE STYLE ARM WORKOUT 5 Best Arm Toning Exercises BARLATES BODY BLITZ
FREE Abs Core PILATES Workout - Pilates Core Blast BARLATES BODY BLITZ

Day 2: Cardio Interval Tone 30 17 min + Inner Thigh Burner 38 min = 55 min
I did these but I wouldn’t do them again. (Not effective for me.) Rather do tonique.

I did these, but no favourites here. I don’t reach my “trembling” point on the weights and the abs workout is all on the back – I can do it but I like more variety.

Day 4: Holiday Barre HIIT 13 min + Pilates Barre Abs Sculpted Core 28 min = 41 min

I liked these, they were creative and help me work on my left-right outer hip mobility. Maybe warm up with some internal-external rotation of the hip before doing the abs section.

Day 5: Barre Tucks and Fold Overs + Seated Abs Challenge = 63 mins

I really like this workout day, do again soon. Excellent challenge for me.

Day 6: arms and back + Outer Thigh Burner = 45 mins

Day 7: Dynamic Stretch = 41 mins

I did Day 7, then took a rest day before starting week 2…

Week 2
Day 1: Isolaton holds and pick ups + Resistance Loop Butt = 48 min

I did these, meh on them. I like the other arms better. And the side lying and bridge series in the butt workout is okay, but I get a better workout from a bigger compilation of exercises.

Day 2: Cardio Interval Tone 45/30 + Inner Thigh Challenge = 50 mins

I won’t do these again, I like kettlebell and tonique rather than Barlates cardio, and the inner thigh plies felt awkward – I can do them in Tonique when I’m really warmed up only.

Desie - thanks for posting your rotation - I love using You Tube but sometimes w all the variety I can't figure out how to make it all work in a sensible way.

Lora - You Tube has done more to alleviate my exercise ADD than any DVD - so I say if funds are tight for now, stick w/ the freebies.
