Leslie, I agree that prior familiarity with Jill's work might be helpful. You might also check my review, in which I broke down the 4 main segments pretty thoroughly. I'm not familiar with bulging disk issues, but I'm guessing you would be okay with the massage ball stuff she does for the shoulders/upper body (to open up respiratory breath) as well as the stomach massage work, but some of the side-lying work on the block and leg lifts in section #2 might be more challenging for you.
Another thought: why don't you email Jill and ask? She's pretty responsive; I've received personal replies from her in the past.
