Folding Mini Rebounder suggestions...

Want to increase my "steps" and activity besides just walking. Since school started & have been working more hours, I find myself in bed earlier and watching more TV, so I was thinking just last night, "I could be bouncing on a mini tramp right now...that would be a fun quick cardio burst."

Would like something inexpensive & light/portable to stash under my bed & pull out when the mood strikes...NOT to use as my primary workout. Any suggestions?? What size should i get?
TIA!

I can't give you a specific suggestion, but a year or two (or maybe a few months) ago, someone posted a link to a square thingamabob that had a bouncy surface. If I'm not horribly mistaken, it's similar to something used at Curves.

I agree, a bouncing board would probably be easier to store.
something like this?

or if you have a stability ball, try sitting and bouncing on it.

I'm a bit surprised by the asking price for these jogging platforms. I've never seen one IRL but from the pictures it almost looks like you could make one of your own using supplies from a hardware store. Wouldn't even a department store rebounder which would cost significantly less be at least as good to run on. Aren't the platforms about the same price as an Urban Rebounder? Department store rebounders aren't that high or heavy and would store easily under beds too, although they generally don't fold. Folding and unfolding rebounders is more of a hassle than it's worth anyway. I'd sooner detach the legs if need be.

Thanks for the jogging platform suggestions, but I really want more of a rebounder to jump and "dance". just seems more fun. Looking at Craigslist - saw 2 options, but haven't heard back from sellers yet...

Rebounders really aren't easy to fold and unfold and springs can be quite noisy if trying to watch TV.

ETA: I get a much better bounce sitting on a stability ball than a cheap rebounder.

True, springs can make quite a bit of noise though I always managed to hear my TV while jumping with a spring rebounder. I'd suggest to the OP to put vaseline on the springs to lessen the noise as some VFers do. It worked to a noticeable extent on my rebounders during the time (a few years back) that I did that. It needs redoing every six months or so, or frequency may vary depending on the brand.

One thing about the bungee rebounders is they definitely feel more like bouncy trampolines - real trampolines that is - than spring rebounders do. I think I found a link to the least expensive bungee mini trampoline. Someone can correct me if there's a lower priced one out there somewhere. It's not cheap but if I was willing to pay as much as the jogging platform costs, I'd sooner go a bit higher and get this instead for more fun factor. The cost is still considerably lower than other bungee mini- tramps.

ETA: I don't know how long the JS legs are or if it would fit under a bed? With previous rebounders if I didn't use them everyday I would store them upright on their side to not take up as much space and that worked for me even in my smallest apartments.

I just noticed this post. Good luck - hope you find the one you're looking for. You can't beat Craigslist for good buys sometimes.
