I lift weights, have for years, can go pretty heavy for triceps but still have the gross Bat Wings! Any ladies out there with any success stories. Maybe the key is diet and not strength training??? Or maybe skin changes with aging just make this an impossible area to make vanish??
I question if it's even possible as you get older?I'am thin and can(at times) get my arms very toned but still have the wave going on. I've even noticed older instructers have it,I think it's a skin thing. I'am following this for replys though!
""I was hoping this thread was about vampires. ""- LOL!
Bat wings and bingo arms are such cruel descriptions. I was watching a fashion show on a tv channel and the host and designer were laughing about "bingo arms" and I thought it was very mean.
I got my best arms doing Squeeze, the original one but it is really hard to maintain rock hard arms in our 60's.
one thing I have read about, not exercise but in a beauty thread is dry brushing.
I'm in the same boat. Sandra is correct, it must be genetic. I remember my maternal grandmother had toned arms from using a push mower but she still had the batwings.
My success story is that I've succeeded in not caring whether my arms have wings or not, and if anyone doesn't like how my arms look, they can look at something else

SueB, you are the wind beneath my batwings! Agree 100%.

Awesome! This is truly the best answer. However, I do agree it may ultimately be an age/skin thing. My arms are thin and toned but there is a little wave going on still. Not much and I don't care about it but it is there. I do think my muscle tone has really improved doing push-ups. I do them every day.
