My hilarious Goodwill find!

At an out-of-town Goodwill this past weekend, I ran across an old VHS called Jazzercise with Judi Sheppard Missett. This is the original tape from 1982 that has the infamous "Move Your Boogie Body." The reason I got it in is case there was ever to be a VF get together, this would be viewing party material! It's quite hysterical.

Why, you ask? Check out this collection of clips from the video. Yes, this is real and not a parody.

On a more serious note, I must give Judi credit for helping to revolutionize an industry that has grown exponentially after all these years.

Looks like Carol Burnett doing a comedy skit. Very funny.

I rented that back in the day when VHS rentals began hitting the supermarkets.

It may have been one of the first Joni-Os in video history. My husband and son and I were rolling on the LR floor laughing!

It kind of reminds me of Prancercize. Lawd!

Oh my gosh! There are days when I'm working out and think that I would be embarrassed if others saw me exercising, due to lack of coordination with particular moves, struggling with the last few reps, etc. Apparently, someone always has it worse. I'm not sure how those were filmed with a straight face. The vocal and torso acrobatics were quite impressive. Thanks for the laugh on a Monday morning!

I remember her. That was in my pre exercise days. All the dramatic stuff in the routines always bugged me and I'm glad most instructors have toned it down these days.

The 3:00 minute mark in the youtube compilation made my day -- the two unfortunate dudes in the teal tank tops who have to move their hips in full circles look real thrilled to be doing that. I wonder if they were paid to do this or if they were friends who agreed to this!

A big thanks to Garrie for such a good laugh on a Monday!
