First Fall Read

I am a biography/history fan. So for my first fall book, I chose:

Ninety-nine Glimpses of Princess Margaret

I enjoyed it but it may not be everyone's cup of tea but she didn't drink much tea anyway

I was inspired to pick up some biographies at the library today:

Michael Oher's I Beat the Odds: From Homelessness, to The Blind Side, and Beyond

Sidney Poitier's Life Beyond Measure

Also got some dvd's that had been recommended here
Viniyoga Therapy, upper and lower body discs by Gary Kraftsow.

Audible is having a sale until tomorrow night at midnight PST. I bought Middlesex somewhat by accident..... I think I was thinking it was Middlemarch, which a friend of mine strongly recommended. But I'm already more than half finished with Middlesex (no small feat -- it's over 21 hours!). I'm really enjoying it. The narrator is fantastic (I guess he is an actor) but the story is very much written like a John Irving novel (which I enjoy). Also set partly in Detroit, partly in the timeframe that I lived there, so I find it very interesting for that, too.

I read Middlemarch in college and I loved it, so I think you should keep that one on your list.

Wow, hard to think of it being "fall" already!

After I finish the Jane Green novel, I have a biography of Tom Jones that I will probably read.

Beth, is it his autobiography you are reading next? My husband really enjoyed his autobiography.
