I've got it on hold (e-book) from my library.

Yes, I read it and enjoyed it. Not my favorite Stephen King (that'd be 11/22/63), but it was up there.

I just finished Bad Blood: Secrets and Lies in a Silicon Valley Startup by John Carreyrou, and I highly recommend it! It's nonfiction, but it's so insane it reads like fiction. Here's the blurb:
Quote:
In 2014, Theranos founder and CEO Elizabeth Holmes was widely seen as the female Steve Jobs: a brilliant Stanford dropout whose startup "unicorn" promised to revolutionize the medical industry with a machine that would make blood testing significantly faster and easier. Backed by investors such as Larry Ellison and Tim Draper, Theranos sold shares in a fundraising round that valued the company at more than $9 billion, putting Holmes's worth at an estimated $4.7 billion. There was just one problem: The technology didn't work.

A riveting story of the biggest corporate fraud since Enron, a tale of ambition and hubris set amid the bold promises of Silicon Valley.

I am not sure where I left off from the Spring Reading thread but recent reads include:
1) Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine (liked it )
2) Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng. It was OK but I was not crazy about it -I liked her first book better. It was a good discussion book for my group though.

I am currently reading Moonglow by Michael Chabon and really like it so far. I loved his The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay.

Another book coming up for one of my book groups is A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles which I hear is great.

I almost picked up the Amazing Adventures... book awhile back; instead I got The Final Solution, which I liked.

I read The Martian and really enjoyed it. But, I do admit that there were some really dry and long science parts in which I had no interest, so I would

read, read, read ... {get to a science part} scan, scan, scan ... read, read, read (etc., etc., etc.)

Beth, I find Marian Keyes' books to be hit or miss. This one is a definite dud. I may just read the last chapter to find out how the situation resolves.

I am in a reading slump. Nothing seems appealing. I am re-reading an old favorite and hope to find something at the library this week. I have plenty of books at home I have not read yet, but I can't get into anything.
