Thanks for the new thread, difit!

I am currently reading David Baldacci's The Target. It is part of his Will Robie series, which are the only books I have read by him.

I am also still ready Katy Bowman's Alignment Matters. Oh, I recently finished A Nantucket Wedding by Nancy Thayer. That was just okay; I wasn't crazy about the characters.

Beth, I have the Nancy Thayer book on hold at my library. Her older books had so much more depth. I miss her writing back from her book "Three Women at Water's Edge."

Thanks for the new list!

I'm still in major re-reading mode, but looking forward to the hard copy of Lois McMaster Bujold's Mira's Last Dance. (I'm still holding out, not reading the e-books. Some part of me just wants a tangible book. )

Anna, I was so against e-books when I first started with them, but now I love them.
I no longer have huge piles of new books everywhere (do still huge piles of old books.)
I borrow several e-books a week from the library, and amazon, and if if it turns out I'm not crazy about it, boom, I return it with a couple of clicks and start something else. I'm saving so much money, it's wonderful.

I use my 8" Fire tablet (the cover has an elastic strap that I can slip my fingers under) and read on the treadmill, 10 to 30 minutes at a time, depending on how interested I am in the book, multiple times a day - usually 6 or 7.

I'm reading more and getting a heck of a lot of miles every day.

I am extremely impressed that you can do this! I can barely look off to the side

I prefer physical books in general, but love the ability to preview via Kindle or download from either Amazon or the library if it's something I must have right this minute.

In the spring thread, someone (sorry, I've forgotten who it was) asked about Crazy Rich Asians. I had some travel over the weekend so I loaded it up and am pretty far into it now (listening, not reading). It started out very slowly and I could not get interested in the characters -- some of them I couldn't even really keep apart in my mind. But I stuck with it and it certainly wouldn't go on any list of favorites but I will finish it. I'm curious to know if the original poster about it, or anyone else, has read it.

Just about ready for another read if anyone has suggestions for a good summer listen. Thanks!

Sherry, I'll have to be open to trying something older from her.

I started another new book that I picked up at a book sale awhile back called Crow Lake. We are going on vacation in a couple of weeks and I have to decide what I'm going to bring with me! I think I'm going to bring a couple of other book sale novels, One Summer by David Baldacci and one by Lisa Scottoline (don't remember the title of that one). I also have a review book that looks like a comedy, The Shakespeare Requirement. And that's probably plenty, but I may also throw in the non-fiction book Alone Together.

I'm halfway through the print version of Two Steps Forward by the author of The Rosie Project. There's a strong road trip (walking not driving) aspect to it that I think would make a great travel read. It's told from two POVs, male and female, so with the right narrators it's probably a good listen, too.

Beth - I loved Crow Lake! I also read & enjoyed Road Ends by the same author.

Right now I'm reading The Cruelest Month, an Inspector Gamache mystery by another Canadian author, Louise Penny. It's the third in the series set in rural Quebec & I am enjoying it.
