Helen,

Thanks for mentioning that series- I normally don't read that genre - although I have enjoyed a few in the past - they look good. I'm going to look into trying them out.

I recently finished The Promise Girls by Marie Bostwick - I enjoy her "quilting" novels - they are light reads for the most part - although at times "serious" subjects are introduced, the books are not dark and everything generally works out in the end.

On my Kindle I have The Other Einstein up next...

Donna-I have "The Promise Girls" on my kindle. I bought it when Laura told me it was on sale for $1.99.

Just finished Dean Koontz The Darkest Evening of the Year. It's a few years old but I really enjoyed the dog theme.
Today I started his new one, Silent Corner.

Pretty sure I read Darkest Evening, although he has so many dog-themed ones, they start to blur together for me!

I just finished a book that Jonathan Kellerman co-authored with his son Jesse, Crime Scene. It was pretty similar to the elder Kellerman's usual writing and I did enjoy it.

I just finished "the woman in cabin 10" by Ruth Ware. It was a fast read but took me a long time to get into. I didn't like it until about three-fourths of the way thru. Maybe her other books are better? But, this one had some scary imagery.

I'm in the midst of reading The Promise Girls. It's an enjoyable story so far.

I just finished Murder on Mulberry Bend, the 5th book in the Gaslight Mystery Series. I owe a thank you to whoever suggested this series way back when on one of these reading threads. I'm enjoying the series and haven't lost interest yet. I think they are really well written.

I am reading a book called "Take a Chance " by Sarah Webb. It is about three Irish sisters who are in an ABBA tribute band. One is subbing while one sister is healing a broken ankle. It is very enjoyable so far.

Sherry, so funny--one of my yoga instructors is named Sarah Webb! That book sounds cute.

I saw that in the new Hannah Swenson novel that is coming out, her husband Ross is missing! So I decided to order Banana Cream Pie, the previous book, from my library, which is the one where the go on their honeymoon--hopefully that's when he disappears.

Beth- I gave up on the Hannah series. I hope your library will order them for you.

Sherry, by "order" I meant placing a hold through interlibrary-loan at one of the many libraries in the county; I've never actually asked my library to order a book that wasn't in the system. There were copies available, so I did place an order. I read the book where Ross & Hannah got married and wasn't sure I would continue, but Ross going away somehow does make things seem more palatable to me!
