I just finished "Dead Wake" by Erik Larson, about the sinking of the Lusitania. It was a fantastic and fascinating read, and I recommend it highly. I am now reading "American Lion" by Jon Meacham, a biography of Andrew Jackson. Much more compelling than I expected (which is always good).

I look forward to hearing about what's on everyone else's bedside tables.

Thanks for the list. Multiple books on my wishlist are coming out this month. I pre-ordered Emilie Richards new one since I had a small credit burning a whole in my virtual pocket at Amazon. I rarely preorder anything, but since she's probably one of my most favorite authors, it seemed like a good idea.

I read Midnight Crossing by Tricia Fields. I think I'm the only one who reads her here, but just in case, I thought it was one of the better books in her series.

I finished Jane Steele and liked it, but found that the middle section dragged a little. I kept thinking that this book would be great on screen.

I just started Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine and am really enjoying it. The protagonist is a quirky thirty year old woman with no social skills. It is funny and sad at the same time. Reese Witherspoon has already got her hands on this one and it was just published.

Yeah, apparently it's been very well reviewed for a while now.
A librarian friend of mine had the chance to read an advance copy and loved it, so I put it on one of my Amazon wish lists just to keep an eye on the pub date.

I'm thinking I'll wait for our library to get a copy. I glanced at it in a bookstore a few weeks ago, but wasn't in a hurry to buy.

I finished "The Charm Bracelet" by Melissa Hill. It was a lovely quick read. I didn't see the twists coming. I do miss her books being set in Ireland, though. I think her upcoming release will be.

I also finished the book that was just released about the tv series "thirtysomething." It was very informative and interesting.

I read Something Dangerous by Penny Vincenzo. I'm on vacation and had time to read this 700+ page book. It was really good.

I'm listening to Bittersweet. I'm almost half way through, and I'm still not sure what I think about it.
