I'm listening to Diane Chamberlain's "Her Mother's Shadow," and reading Victoria Thompson's, "Murder on St. Nicholas Avenue." Enjoying both!

Finished Nathanael West's depression area book (1933) Miss Lonelyhearts- this book was mentioned in The Man in the High Castle- very dark satire.

Rachel's Holiday by Marian Keyes. She is definitely a new favorite author for me! She covers very sensitive topics with great humor.

Judy- you may like the Irish author Emma The Hannigan. Her book "The Pink Ladies Club" was very well written.

I'm reading Wizard's First Rule as the finale of that series called Warheart just came out. There are a lot of books ... and this one is the first (well, I did read the 2 prequels) so I have my books all lined up.

I just finished The Shepherd, the Angel, and Walter the Christmas Miracle Dog by Dave Barry. It was a really fun, cute Christmas story.

That's too bad. I thought that Matt Damon would do well with that sarcastic humor. I read the book and really enjoyed it.

I've read a lot of books recently. They include:

A Week at the Lake - Not my favorite of her books
I'll Be Home for Christmas - Roisin Meaney - I enjoyed this book
2 Weeks in April - Roisin Meaney - Not my favorite book of hers, but I enjoyed it.

Take a Chance on Me - Jill Mansel - Not a favorite of hers, but I liked it.

Silver Linings - Debbie Macomber - I didn't really want to read this book once I started, so I quit. I'm done with this series.

Firebreak - Tricia Fields - I really, really like this mystery series. The books aren't all the same and I enjoy the mysteries.

Christmas at Rosie Hopkins' Sweetshop - Jenny Colgan - Started slow and I'm totally engrossed now.

An Irish Christmas - Melody Carlson - I'm enjoying it so far.

Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses - I enjoyed this pretty well.

I'm reading The False House by James Stoddard. It's the second edition, in which the author has made a few changes. (Apparently he was under deadline for the first version and wanted to revisit the book. The new version was just published this past August. )

Here's a link to the GoodReads series list.

The High House
is the first in the Evenmere Chronicles series, and it's really very good, one of my favorites, ever, in fact. Definitely read that first, if you're interested.

There's a third book in the works, Evenmere, and I'm really looking forward to it.
