I just finished light cozy mystery, Death of a Garage Sale Newbie--book 1 in a series. I'm in the middle of several other books.

My library ordered a bunch of books I requested. I checked my account and they have TEN of them available now for me to pick up! I hope I can keep them out for more than two weeks. It will be hard to figure out which to read first.

I've been busy rereading my Obernewtyn Chronicles books, in preparation for the finale (which I received last week). It's a big one -- 1108 pages!

I still have 3 more in the series (all pretty lengthy themselves) to get through before I can tackle the finale, so I'd say I'm set for the remainder of the year...

Today I read The Chocolate Lovers' Christmas by Carole Matthews. It's the 3rd book in the series and I have really liked all of them.

I got the Chronicles of Narnia radio cd set from the library today and am enthralled.

I haven't read these books in ages, but find myself remembering entire segments of dialog.

Love these, and recommend them highly. (Did someone here recommend them? I read about them online somehow, and wow, am I glad. )
Am seriously thinking of getting these as a gift for somebody just to share the love.

Pam-I am going to pick them up today. It looks like no one else has them on reserve (fingers crossed) so I should be able to keep them out for four weeks.
The last time I picked up a bunch of reserves, the library clerk noticed that I had over the "allowed" limit of books on hold and asked how I managed that. I said they were all books the library had ordered at my request, not ones I put on hold myself. She said the reference librarian must like me and she would let it slide I've been going there since 1991, so the reference librarian knows me and said she likes my taste in requests.

Sissy-I did knot know about those other Carole Matthews' books. I will have to look around for them. Thanks for posting. I read the first one ages ago and don't even remember anything about it.

I'm in the middle of "The Orphan Train" and enjoying it very much! A co-worker recommended it to me. It's heartbreaking but very interesting at the same time.

I read also read "The Martian" after I went and seen the movie. I have to say, the movie didn't capture the sarcastic humor that made the book so great.
