Got a copy of Elizabeth Goudge's Catheral trilogy all in one volume for a good price (used). Haven't started it, but I've seen it well reviewed.

Definitely not going to hit my reading target in the goodreads challenge this year. I keep rereading things, which I don't count because I couldn't be bothered to keep track.

I loved this book. It was hard to get into at first but it was excellent. I also read the sequel "Bring up the Bodies" There was talk that there would be another book - about wife #3 maybe??

The third book will be The Mirror & The Light and it will be released in March 2020. Did you see the Masterpiece series? It was actually based on the first two books. I think I only watched the first and last episodes.

I didn't know that the third book was coming out soon(ish) Thanks for letting me know so I have something to look forward to. Yes I did see the Masterpiece Theatre series. It was excellent. Clare Foy was Anne Boleyn. She was also Queen Elizabeth in the first two seasons of The Crown.

ETA: Regarding Wolf Hall. I tried listening to the audio book but it was so hard to follow. So many Marys. The book has that handy cast of characters list at the beginning of the book which helped a lot.

I love that list. Not just the Marys, but every man is named Henry or Thomas. Did you see Claire Foy in Little Dorrit? I always think of her as that character.

No I didn't see Little Dorrit. Is it on Netflix?

I have no idea; I don't have Netflix. Little Dorrit was on Masterpiece many years ago. I read the book afterwards. I finished Wolf Hall and put Bring Up the Bodies on my to-read list. I have The Second Sleep by Robert Harris in transit from the library. There is going to be a TV series based on it produced by the Downton Abbey producers, but I don't know where it will air.
