If you can take a studio class, or one for each brand, you can see the differences; or borrow some DVDs, many libraries have some. I mainly use DVDs, but have been (on vacations) to Pure Barre, Bar Method, and Cardio Barre; and classes for a couple of weeks at a local non-franchise studio (where it was obvious to me that the owner had trained with Burr Leonard/Bar Method). I was able to keep up with the classes, but, probably b/c they were an hour long without a pause button LOL they seemed harder than the DVDs. I took a Cardio Barre studio beginner class, and it was the same routine as the Advanced (not Ultimate Advanced) DVD.
