The return of 80s style aerobics

I found an article about the return of 80s style aerobics-

https://www.wellandgood.com/good-swe...obic-workouts/

But we all know that 80s style aerobics can be fun- we still have the videos/dvds to prove it!

In the article it states that a guy in the UK is launching an 80s themed studio. How cool would it be to go to that gym! But is 80s themed fitness gear required?

I remember when it was called aerobic dance and it really was all dancy. It was all so new that we didn’t know what to expect. I know I did it when it first came on the scene here. All high impact - if I knew then what I know now .... . And I did have all the 80s outfits. Eek!

Same here. I never could manage the thong leotard and in retrospect, am happy about that.

Oh! No thongs for me - now or then!

I never wore the leotards or thongs, but man, I sure do miss the old-style aerobics and step. It is sooooo hard to find any classes these days that even have steady-state cardio. I've actually had fleeting thoughts of opening a studio like that in my area, but I think it would be more work than I'm prepared to handle. But I haven't totally ruled out that idea yet. Anyone want to come teach?

Everything old is new again.

I miss the fun workouts. I haven't been loving the non-fun Hiit blast style workouts.

I just did the step portion of Mission Possible - Christie - loved it.

I'm taking a Zumba class on Mondays - love the music and the moves - we all are "vintage" ourselves so we just move and have fun. Isn't that what it's supposed to be about?

IDEA instructors would get very creative. When an instructor came in with new choreography it would be a test for the brain as well as the body.

Better music, too. I can't deal with monotonous, modern techno tracks.

Music is very important to me in a workout.

Yes, everything old is new again! And I LOVE Christi's Mission Possible. Both the step and hi/lo portion are FUN!
