Paine, I love YITGOS too; I liked this practice b/c it felt similar in terms of exploring range of motion.

I did Jessica Smith's Feel Good Fusion workout. The strength one, I used 3 pound weights. I did it *barefoot* too! It actually felt kinda nice barefoot! I'd never done this workout before, lots of new yoga-ish moves. I will be doing this one again. I think it's one where the more I do it, the more I will learn proper form and things.


I might do other workouts barefoot, but I think I'll always do cardio and Leslie walks with shoes. I have one flat foot and one arched foot. My flat foot I think needs support. Can doing barefoot workouts regularly strengthen your arches?

Hi!

Today's Workout: On Day 11 of this year's Essentrics Health Challenge it was a huge relief to pull out Essentrics Barre with Sahra -- one of my favorites! I did the Standing, Floor Toning and Floor Stretching segments. A nice break from Miranda and all her discussion of fascia and connective tissue. I finished with Margaret Richard's Unplugged episode 1907.

Gayle: Congrats on your first official barefoot workout! Jessica's various "fusion" routines are favorites of mine.

Beth: Great funny!

Paine: Sorry about no house offers yet. Am keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Hi all.

I did the FIRMs Super Sculpting, and I did it barefoot! Who knew toes could be so grippy! I have 3/4 inch thick puzzle mats in my exercise room. They work great for bare feet!

We are going to visit DH's sister tomorrow so I won't be checking in for several days. Talk to you all soon tho!

Gayle thanks for the info on the Chris Freytag workouts. And congrats on the barefoot workouts!

Paine I hope you get some offers on the house and that it’s a good market for selling. Has your dd and her family moved yet?

Yesterday I did a short walk in the heat. The pool at my apartment is being repaired so I haven’t been able to get in a quick swim after work. I also did Day 8 of Home - Adriene had a short relaxing and meditative practice and since I had pain and tension in my neck and shoulders, this was helpful even though not technically a workout. Beth and Paine, I will have to look at the practices you mentioned for neck and shoulder pain.

It is the Australia Day long weekend here and it looks to be a hot one, with fires and some sad deaths due to the fires, including three firefighters from the US who were here working in a air water tanker that crashed.

On a more positive note. My fourth son was born on Australia Day so we do have a birthday brunch celebration to attend.

I have been very busy with work this week, and haven’t gotten around to checking in. But at least I’ve been able to fit in a morning workout, plus DH and I did go for a 6-mile bike ride last Saturday.

Monday: Jessica Smith’s Metabolism Booster, Upper Body and Sarah Beth’s 10-minute Post Workout Cool Down

Tuesday: KCM’s Stepboxing #1 and RaviAna’s Teapot Meditation from Fat Free Yoga

Wednesday: Jessica Smith’s Metabolism Booster, Lower Body and RaviAna’s Ek Ong Kar Meditation from Cardio, Stretch, & Strengthen

Thursday: Jessica Smith’s "Boogie Down Walk" from 5 Fat Burning Miles and Sarah Beth’s 15-minute Morning Yoga Power Flow
