Do you beginners follow the plan? Or do you wait until you've conquered one level before moving up? It's early, but I'm not able to do every rep of some of the exercises. Tricep dips, for instance. Ugh. I'm doing about half of them. I do a few, collapse, and try to catch a few more before they're finished.
I would move on anyway just so I wouldn't get bored. I did her other 30 day shred for 30 days (with a day of rest every 6 days) awhile back & by the end of 10 days of each level I was so ready for something different.

I've tried workouts 1 and 2. I like them both! I do think they are somewhat like NMTZ (which I love!). I think these are solid workouts and you can make them more difficult if you like. Jillian is way more toned down. (I pretty much ignore her anyway). the 20 minutes flies by. (I combined these with some other stuff). I like the variety of exercises and pace.

So I tried level 1 yesterday and liked it! I did find it a bit easy....until I woke up sore this morning. I previewed the other levels and they look great. I am looking forward to working my way up to them

Is there any cardio in these workouts?

There are some really short cardio intervals between the strength sets. For example, level 1 has 3 strength sets with several exercises. There are two moves for each cardio set (if I recall correctly). Level one has step out backs and but kicks.

Yes there is cardio, but it's fairly easy, such as low impact jacks. You can make it more challenging by adding impact. The cardio is used more as a pause between other exercises. How much it will keep your heart rate up probably depends on your overall fitness.
