I 2nd the Richard Simmons and Leslie Sansone beginner workout suggestions. How about Debra Mazda's workouts? Not her step routine (although it can be done without a step too) but maybe the first Get Moving.

If you have a stability ball, sitting and bouncing on it to music is a great way to sweat a bit without aggravating the knees.
She can even walk to Leslie or Jessica while sitting on a chair or ball.

DOTI ballroom is one of the Easiest dance workouts I can think of. And the prevention Drop it with Dance is easy too. Cant speak for the music on either....

Petra Kolber cues so well she makes anytjing easier to followand she has a Cardio for Beginner. One of those workouts is dance. Petra is also so forgiving when you get the choreography wrong too. I would also recommend her Get Moving Mix (by weight watchers) and her 10 minute solution dance off Belly fat.

Another alternative for the ball would be the type of workout that they used to have at the "Y" here. People were sitting in chairs with the ball up on some risers and banging out a beat to the music. They were laughing and having a great time and actually got their heart rate up just using their arms. Just a thought....

Workouts done sitting in a chair:

Richard Simmons: Sit Tight

Jodi Stolove: Chair Dancing

Mary Ann Wilson: Sit and Be Fit

Easy cardio and/or strength training:

Jane Fonda: Prime Time

Leslie Sansone: Walk the Walk: Firming Workout

Leslie Sansone: Active Adult (1 and 2 miles)

Leslie Sansone: Walk This Way

All of those, except for the Richard Simmons one, has clips. Ask her to watch some and see if any appeal to her.
