Checking in with Blogilates: 30 minute EXTREME Pilates Thigh Workout, and a mile walk. The workout wasn't too extreme--it was ok!

Lynn, we are thinking of you with this COVID test issue.

Diana, it's nice that you are still getting to help with the kids but on an easier schedule. How is the singing going?

Cheryl

Hi Everyone!

Today was a busy day and I couldn't fit a workout in. DH went to the neurologist. They will do a nerve test in a couple of weeks. He will also need a covid test before the procedure. This Dr. as well as the other 2 Dr's are all thinking he has carpal tunnel issues. Hopefully we will get to the bottom of all of this.

Lynn Are you feeling better? I am so glad you don't have covid.

Cheryl
It's going fine. We practiced last week and I think we are practicing every Saturday for the next few weeks. We have several songs we are practicing on.

Tomorrow is the last day of the camp. We are doing a review/tour of some of the stories that we have learned about. We have props to use that we have found throughout the church. Those kids are going to have to use their imaginations, LOL. We have a yellow/gold border, that has those scallop edges. I taped it together to make a crown for King Herod, LOL. We will dress one of the kids up like King Herod. That's the type of stuff we are doing.

Have a Blessed evening!

Lynn, yay for the test result! and LOL for the haircut mistake.
Diana, you are valued for talents that you never suspected you might have!
Cheryl, any traveling plans?

My check-in for today is a walk in Pacific Grove. I felt so comfortable in my knit hat I might knit another one. I rooted about in my stash and found the skein of hand-dyed yarn i bought at the knitting vacation last year.

And I've kept doing the Beast's bedtime stretch.

It's way too hot to work out today. It's the hottest day we've had in a while. I did walk this morning. It is supposed to cool down by Saturday, so I'm looking forward to that!

Lynn, we must have posted at the same time. So glad to hear about the covid test!

Diana, we thought I had carpel tunnel for the longest time, but it turned out to be tendonitis. I still deal with it--my elbow is hurting this minute. I feel like it's really difficult to get rid of these issues. It's hard to stop the actions that cause them. But anti-inflammatories and ice help a lot.

Cynthia, we have an application in for a rental home. We're just doing some negotiating right now. If all goes well, we'll sign a lease to begin on the fifteenth. So we'll start moving things to Nashville. It will take two trucks, as we have a grand piano and big mixing board (studio gear) and other things. I'm hoping everything works out. Even though this house is a bit more than we want to spend, it's really hard to find a rental for less than a year lease. And this house is the right size, in a good neighborhood that DD already loves, and it's only nine minutes from our dear friends' house. So keeping our fingers crossed! We also love the part of Nashville where the house is. I lived there when I first moved to Nashville. There are wonderful huge parks with walking trails there. It would be so nice especially with fall coming.

Hi Everyone!

Cheryl
It's really hot here, too. I heard the news say an area close to us had a 116* index yesterday. I am super excited for you.

Check-In: 40 minute outdoor walk and Jane Adams Stronger Standing Balance - Standing exercises

Have a Blessed evening!

Lauren workout from Basics sculpt 2 from paper. She kicked me out of the playground a couple of days early I think, when I cancelled my autorenew. Thanks all for the good wishes and thoughts and prayers. I am trying to move to a more positive place in my life with the coming of fall. I am feeling better and trying to make peace with the difficulties at work, which I am just going to have to work around and use my support systems to manage. I am also going to have to adjust to DS leaving, which he will in about a month. That will be sad, but I know he has to move on with his life and a 22 year old can't live with his parents indefinitely.

Cheryl, sounds great that things are looking so good for you in Nashville. I lived there for 3 years back in the 80s, not far from the Parthenon park. Really liked the city, but I hear it's quite different now (and even nicer, but much bigger).

Diana, we are cooling down and supposedly it will get fall-like here soon. But right now 80s, which I will take.

Cynthia, have you gotten back to knitting then? I did some stuff for my parents 70th anniversary. I made my dad a lap blanket out of a crushed velvet yarn, which proved hard to deal with, but I got the hang of it. Now I am doing a shawl for myself with the left overs, since it's such a nice yarn. What is the Beast stretch?
