Question Other fitness sites or social media?

Are there other fitness sites or social media that you follow? I'm looking for motivation!

i really like the community of myfitnesspal.com. they have threads about videos, working out at the gym, diet, and most of all, the abundance of success stories! i bookmarked the thread about >50 YO women who lost significant pounds using weight training.

I listen to several fitness podcasts that I find informative and motivating. Let me know if you're interested in which ones!

I love t-nation.com.

I may appear to be a slender and not-quite-young woman, but in my unashamedly-delusional self-motivational inner world, I am a warrior princess meathead trying to build muscle!

I am in a FIRM Facebook group and I listen to Jillian Michaels' podcast, which has kind of morphed into not just fitness stuff and is often hit or miss, but I have been listening for years and she does give good info sometimes.

My favorite fitness podcast is probably Fitness Disrupted with Tom Holland. He is probably not everyone's cup of tea but I find him very motivating and his show is always clean (no swearing).

I like Mind Pump but they also talk about their lives, which I could generally do without, and they do swear, including F bombs, which I could *definitely* do without! But they have good info and were personal trainers.

Another one I like but haven't listened to much recently is RAMP. I don't remember any swearing in it.

One I've just discovered and so far like is 40+ Fitness. This wknd I listened to an interview with Denise Austin and yesterday I listened to a really good one on menopause. I have an episode queued up with Tony Horton I'm eager to listen to.

I think there are a few more that I'm not remembering or have found but not listened to yet.

For fitness/wellness-related podcasts, I like to listen to -
  • Make It Simple with Andrea Allen
  • Let's Do Life with Autumn Calabrese
  • The Balanced Life Podcast with Robin Long

I love t-nation too! I feel stronger and more powerful just reading the articles, let alone doing any of it.

I belong to a few Facebook fitness groups. Some Peloton ones, Firm and Cathe ones too.

I also watch off and on, some YouTube fitness based videos.
I use to be a big reader of T-Nation, but its been a while lol.

I'm always looking for active groups to be a part of cause for me, it does seem to help.
