Total Max Mixers - Week of Jan 3

Workout yesterday was Cathe’s Body Fusion.

Karen - I got an email yesterday about the Peloton app free for 2 months. I signed up. (Just made myself a note to cancel before I get charged). My aunt just bought a Peleton bike which I tried a few weeks ago when I was at her house. I love it and want one! Lol Maybe someday. . Anyway, she was showing me the app when I was there and told me about a yoga instructor she likes so now I can try it. I also saw some dance cardio workouts and some other strength workouts I will try. Btw, I do have a Fire Stick on my workout tv too so that will work. Thanks for bringing the freebie to my attention!

JBliff - How did you like Mobility Basics? We have gotten takeout a few times since March. We are a small town and we don’t want any of our small restaurants to go under so try to support them from time to time.....plus we get sick of cooking all the time. There is no indoor dining aloud here in Michigan so there is usually only a couple people working in the restaurants and most have curbside delivery. More snow again here today. We are going to start taking down our Christmas stuff today so won’t have to go out anywhere

Hi everyone. My workout yesterday was a 70-minute brisk walk with DH. It got pretty warm and sunny so I actually got pretty hot during our walk. In contrast, we'll be getting rain all day today and it'll be much colder.

Cher
- Peleton has really taken off during the pandemic. Enjoy the free trial. I like Mobility Basics. It's pretty easy but fairly relaxing and just short enough for me not to get bored.

Karjoy - I didn't realize the Peleton app has so many options. I thought it was just cycling. Glad you are enjoying your treadmill.

Hi to Gibbee and Vannie. Have a good Sunday, all.

Copying Karen’s post - we both had started a new thread for the week yesterday and since this one already had additional posts, I copied hers here.

Karin’s post:

Morning all. Our front finally passed through after dropping buckets of rain and it is nice and cool today. DH is out playing golf and I think they will have to walk and not use golf carts as it is so soggy.

I have been off for over a week and go back to work tomorrow. I bet our office is deluged with calls about getting vaccinated.

I am going up to do another Peloton treadmill workout shortly. This will be endurance based and not intervals.

Hoping 2021 will bring blessings to us all. Kareng

I didn't do a workout yesterday since I woke up at 2:20 a.m. and never got back to sleep. I did clean the house and did the laundry so I got some exercise anyway .

Cher - We took the tree down on New Year's day. The living room seemed so much bigger without the tree in it!

Waves to everyone. Have a good day.

Workout yesterday was Jenny Ford’s March Across America Michigan (in tribute to her son ), and from the free Peleton App, 10 Min Glutes & Leg Strength with Andy Speer and 10 Min Remix Yoga Flow with Denis Morton.

JBliff - Good job accomplishing something on such little sleep! We are still in the process of taking our Christmas stuff down. We have a lot of ornaments and stuff that have to be packed in individually boxes. It’s a long process.

Hi all. My workout yesterday was Gym Styles Back, Shoulders & Biceps timesaver premix. I went a bit heavier on the weights since the workout skipped some sets. I also did 25 minutes on the elliptical.

Cher - How are you liking the Peleton workouts?

Hi to everyone else. Have a good day.

Hi guys. Cher and I started a new post at the same time Sunday so we are combining here of course. I am surprised that does not happen more often.

Ya’ll I am really enjoying the Peloton ap for my tread mill running. For one thing it has a lot of variety—interval runs, hill runs, HIIT runs, steady state runs. There are different instructors and different music. There are different levels. Running outside by yourself is just boring as there are only so many places to run in your own hood. And as a woman you always have some worry. Sigh...

Cher I figured you would like the ap. There are tons of different workouts and even meditation. You can’t beat 2 months for free. I have just a regular treadmill, not the Peloton one.

Our lab is now getting the better PCR test back the same day. That is so helpful! OMG ya’ll rates of Covid are taking off everywhere and Florida is no exception. We tested just 3 people today on our side but all 3 of them are +. I BQ strongly believe But can’t prove it that we have the new, more transmissible strain here.

Our marathon was of course postponed. Even if it is canceled completely we have decided to finish training as we are a good way along.

Jbliff I think there is only one place that we will do take out from now on. They serve delicious Thai food. They have not let anyone in their restaurant since March. You call ahead or you can stop by and they will come out and take your order outside with both parties masked. You wait outside or in your car. There is a Chinese place that is similar in being careful.

Vannie and Gibbee and Gwynn, how are ya’ll doing this new year? Thinking of you. Kareng

Quick drive by over lunch:

Hope everyone is doing well! I'm behind again! Just wanted to stop by to say hi.

I forced some workouts in last week - mostly 1 mile walks (esp Nick's 1 mile), but I did do RAW solo dumbbell on the 30th. Alex and I drove to Branson to see Noah at Sight & Sound theater on NYE - last show of the 2020 season. AMAZING! She saw it as a toddler and of course doesn't remember it. We were hit with a snow/ice storm that day and New Year's day/weekend, so we opted to head home after it was over. Car was covered in ice after the 3+ hour drive. I followed several salt trucks at 40 mph and I did not complain one bit.

This week I did RAW Burn Out Upper Body on Saturday, RAW Burn Out Lower Body on Sunday, RAW Heavy Bag 3 Monday, Leslie 10 min walk plus Step Boss lying stretch yesterday. Today was Stacked Sets upper body but I cut out some exercises to save time.

I will try to check in again later. I am so far behind!

Waves!!!
