I bought similar flooring system and I love it. Since I am not a dancer, I choose one that is more of general fitness, made out of soft PVC. My workout area is in basement, it made a huge difference in impact. One of my best fitness purchases ever! It is from Great Mats: https://www.greatmats.com/products/s...floor-tile.php

Nice. I have mats for impact, otherwise I’d be coveting this too.

I want a 6' by 6' portable dance floor. I was thinking about getting two of the 3' by 3' and locking them together. Do you think that would work?

Two 3x3's is only going to give you a 6x3 space (18 sq. ft). You would need 4 of the 3x3's to make a 6x6 floor (36 sq. ft.). I'd figure out which way ends up being cheaper based on the style you like (purchasing the 3x3's or the 1x1's).
