Comfortable but pretty day shoe recommendations

I'm not marking this off-topic b/c it is somewhat fitness related.

I'm taking a trip in which I will be walking everyday and want to travel light. I want to take only one pair of shoes if possible. I want to be able to go out to a nice restaurant at night and dress up and look good with the same pair of shoes in which I just spend the day walking. Does anything like this exist?

Are you looking for shoes or sandals for the summer? My favorite comfortable sandals are Orthaheels and they have some cute styles that you can wear with a dress. I have walked all day in mine as they have great arch support.

I would recommend bringing two pair of shoes just to give your feet a break. You could make the second pair a thin pair of ballet flats. They barely take up any room and can be made dressy. Tieks are the expensive ones, but there are many knock-offs for 1/10 of the price.

Soft, Clarks and Born have cute comfortable shoes. You might want to also check The Walking Company.

I second Sue's suggestion to look at Clark or Born - they have some stylish looking shoes that are super comfy (usually I think these types of shoes look very granny-ish, but there are some stylish options available as well).

Yup, that is going to be one of the challenges. I don't want granny shoes! Also the recommendation for two pairs is sensible.

My Reef brand shoes are by far THE most comfortable type of shoe I own. The quilted insert is SO comfy for walking for hours!! I have a pair of Reef quilted flip flops and love them too!

If you like Dansko, there are some nice options. Reiker has some very pretty sandals and shoes.for serious sight seeing I would go with good walking shoes and just pack 2 pairs.
I love the look of the orthaheel sandals but ordered a pair from QVC- it was a TSV- and they are too narrow for me. and I do not ever need a wide. I don't think they come in wide actually. I was disappointed. they were the Dr. Weil brand of orthaheel.
