Tanya, your English is excellent, so please don't be uneasy about posting.

Edited to add: Actually, I would hope no one would be uneasy about posting regardless of their fluency in English. It is fun to hear from people from all parts of the world.

I'm not a native speaker either, but I don't care and I post whenever I feel like posting :-)
Do you happen to know whether there were any threads on various customs and cultures of exercising in different countries?

Sharon, I really appreciate the recent posts on this subject. Sometimes I find myself staring at what I wrote and fearing that I might have too many grammatical/punctuation errors.

I'm a bit uncomfortable because I usually speak Pig Latin so I'm very glad you all still welcome my posts.

Seriously? I'm a teacher and I could care less what "form" my posts take here. Just isn't what I'm here for. (Now that's a sentence to fix!)

Any foreigner is a friend of mine. I'm first generation American!

Lexy, I used to know pig latin. My mom and dad speaks it all the time. When we were little, they used to speak it in front of us when they didn't want us to know what they were talking about. I'm really good at pidgin. Anyone who has lived or visited Hawaii knows what I'm talking about.

By the way, I will get your package out.

It was big in grade school.

My parents just spoke Russian or a Russian/Polish mix when they really wanted to throw us. I've tried "my" Russian (which is minimal) on several people and they had no idea what I was talking about. Or they'd say, "Oh, that's Ukrainian." or Belaruse or something unintelligable to them.

English is my second language

English is a second language to me too! My first is Russian. I've been in America for 10 years now, so it feels like home...

Bonjour,

I'm French and live in France, so, English is not my native language. I think I still have a strong froggy accent even when I type but am able to understand more and more things here
This international forum is so pleasant ! I don't know if there's an equivalent in French language but the difficulty of the language is fun. I think that I'm working my English when I spend time here...perhaps should I say my "American"
