Carolyn love your Jessica Smith quote in your signature!

Beth glad to hear that your basement should be back to normal fairly soon.

Garrie thank you for those titles.

Tonight was cardio, just 2 miles from Leslie's Five Really Big Miles, one of which used a resistance band for part of the Walk.

Good 'N Strong Volume 1 Upper Body work plus Volume 2 (calves, Abs and Deltoids)

Beth, your restoration project will be done fast!
It is nice to see the change in seasons and I'll miss that.

Carolyn, I feel for you about the sciatica--I hope that goes away soon. Our bodies are so weird sometimes.
The Chocolate Glazed finish is gorgeous! Your kitchen will be beautiful.

I hope Linda is doing good.

Hi everyone!

No workout for me on Monday as it is my scheduled day off.

Today's Workout: I did the YouTube video for knee circulation suggested by our Beth in last week's thread -- it made a good warm-up! I followed with The Firm Lower Body Sculpt II with Libby. As always I found myself wishing Libby had led more Firm videos.

I'm thinking of our Linda as well.

Anny: That's a good suggestion to try to do a nice outdoor walk on Saturdays (the day I have trouble motivating myself to work out). Now that cooler fall weather is here I certainly have no excuse!

Paine: Sounds like you are definitely done with snow! You will definitely be able to garden all year round in Southern California.

Carolyn: I agree the Chocolate Glaze finish looks very handsome. I hope you get a break from the sciatica soon.

Beth: I'm happy you are getting your workout space back soon! I know I had a lot of difficulty motivating myself to exercise until the flood repairs were finished at my place.

Garrie: I'm happy to see you are teaching so many classes. How is life at the book store?

Waving to all!

Sandra, I've been giving myself permission to only do a little here and there. I might go to another yoga class this afternoon since I'm leaving work early.

Paine, DH has had to deal with more of the restoration stuff than I have, but we are both glad to almost be through it.

Anny, I also saw a multi-DVD Leslie set at the book sale.

Carolyn, do you have a union? We are unionized here which is part of the reason why we have such good benefits.

Wow, hard to believe Hump Day has come and (practically) gone already! After a brief respite for fall break, I'm back up to my full schedule at work, with another busy day today.

I did go to another nice yoga class yesterday! And today I tried the 3-Week Yoga Retreat set. I'm saving most of the actual set but decided to take a look at the "bonus" DVD. I did two of the practices, a post-recovery practice with Ted and yoga for the low back with Vytas. I was a little wary of Ted, who others seemed not to like. He does talk a lot and is pretty goofy, but that just reminded me a bit of myself. Also, the practice had some nice elements. I really like Vytas from YouTube (although I was surprised to hear that his name is VEE-tas, not VYE-tas like I was saying in my mind!). His routine was basic, but I enjoyed it. The only thing I didn't like so much was the stark white set, although I often have my eyes closed during yoga, so that wasn't a big deal for me.

Beth the all white studio could be a little disconcerting.

Some long days at work. Yesterday there was no workout, I got home 9.30pm. Today I did the standing portion of Crunch Burn and Firm Pilates

Anny, an actual studio would probably be more attractive--this is one of those featureless white backgrounds that is more like a screen. I'm not sure why fitness producers ever decide to go with that; it doesn't appeal to me at all.

Happy Thursday! <--including the sun because it is rainy, windy and miserable here today

Smithey's Buns of Steel Lower Body Floor work (with 1.5 pounds on each ankle)

I still like Smithey's floor work.

Hello!

Today's Workout: Essentrics Barre (all of it). Although this is one of my favorite CS/Essentrics DVDs I haven't done it in a while, and it felt very good!

Re all-white sets, I've had a few DVDs that featured them and I agree it is hard on the eyes.

Anny: Ouch, that is a long day! Sounds like you are continuing to recover well.

Paine: I think Buns of Steel is up for my next leg day!

Waving to all!
