Pilates Cross-Trainers: OCTOBER- All Welcome!

Good morning,

Walk
Jessica Valant: Arms & Abs

My walk was short today because of the rain. I re-joined Jessica's site! I still plan to walk and do Pilates this month. I'm going to follow Jessica's calendar subbing in Pilates Nest for some of the days. The theme this month is consistency.

Carol, I hope you feel better. I have definitely noticed more pain/stiffness if I go too long without Pilates. I have that workout of Smriti's downloaded. I should give it a try.

Waves!

Hi Everyone,

I'm really hoping for a smooth month of October! Fingers crossed....my mom seems to be settling in and my Dad is at rehab now.

Today was:

Yoga with Adriene - Yoga for Travel

Tonight I'm going to do something! Not sure what, I'm sort of leaning towards following Jessica's Plug & Play rotation and picking based on time/energy available. or, I may do Jessica Valent's calendar or I may do some sort of combo of both! I also do need to walk some errands at work today- didn't get to do that yesterday.

Happy Tuesday -

Donna

PN 10 Minutes Pilates for Legs. I am tired today because I slept poorly Sunday night so that’s enough.

Happy October!

Cheryl~I am 54 and can do many of the advanced Pilates exercises now. BUT, I have been practicing for at least 4 days per week since 2015. That's awesome that you are nearing 65 years young.

Donna~so glad your mom is settling in.

Christine~thanks for starting the thread.

Hi, Carol!

Hi, Carol!
I think that's a good commitment..

Hm. I should make the commitment to do it for 4 days a week. There are what seems to me 100's of pilates videos on you tube that I won't have to join any club for upwards of 27$ a month.

I just don't want to fail.

I finally got myself to the mat.

A LOTcan be done in 10 Minutes. !!!!!

I did and finished, lol 10 minute solution Slim & Sculpt Pilates Lower body.

I found it very challenging for me. doing 10 leg ups on your side was rough and doing them front, down, right with the band. Amazing.

I have to train my mind that 10, if you do it all, is a workout.

I got these from a Share The Wealth thread.. I'm glad.

See you all tomorrow, on the mat.

I took sunday off as my rest day. and now I know first hand what it feels like to be nervous. I've been nervous before but the anticipation of going to a wake for someone dear to me was stressful. Stomach all topsy turvery. Now to get settled down and put in the work of Pilates.

I found them (the videos) on Gaiam's site, but I couldn't figure out how to download them, at least not in a way that I could burn them to a DVD.

And yes, it took time to get to where I could hold that position, even with crappy form.
