Thumbs up October 2019 ~ Walk On & On ~ New Check-In Buddies Are Always Welcome!

What started as a Leslie walk challenge has morphed into a wide variety of workouts and lots of support and encouragement! Join us, if you're looking for a friendly check-in, that's not limited to one type of exercise!

Good Morning, Everyone!

A new month! I am going to try to be more consistent with longer workouts. I struggle with weight loss with shorter workouts. Eating on plan helps, too. We had the hurricane last month and I had other anxiety triggers. So hopefully I will also be more consistent with my eating this month. Always a work in progress. But at least I am stilling working at it.

I wanted to mention that our Pastor's wife, Ms. Connie, seems to be doing well. Also, Brandon is doing well, too. He has found a job that he wanted. He has always wanted to be a lineman. He has found a job as a lineman apprentice. In 4 years he will graduate from the program and be a lineman.

Last night: Basic Stretch
This morning: Oxycise

Diana, thanks for starting our month, and for the update on those two dear friends.

It's finally starting to feel like fall here. In the land of default 65* the seasons are subtle. Jacket weather now; and the nights are getting chilly. After that last heat wave, I am so ready for this!

working on being a Pilates snob.. I think that along with a new juicer will be my birthday present to myself. I mean, taking a class to treat myself good.

Hi all! I haven't checked in because we took a quick jaunt down to Florence and Nashville again. We looked at houses and visited with friends. Still narrowing down our moving options.

Somehow when I returned I found I had lost about 3 pounds again. That happened last time. Last time I gained 2 pounds back, so I'm hoping that doesn't happen again. I don't understand the loss as I was definitely eating foods that are not dietary, but maybe I'm just not eating much overall and the stress or excitement is affecting my metabolism. Whatever; I'll take it. Usually when I work really hard to lose weight, I don't lose any or much.

Today I did Bodyfit by Amy's Lower Body Blast and tacked on Blogilates Quick Burn Saddlebags. And I walked an outdoor mile.

Cynthia, how nice to have cooler weather! Belated happy birthday! I'm sorry I missed it. Glad you had a nice treat!

Lynn, the Amy is "Bodyfit by Amy." She has a lot of workouts online.

Cheryl 2, I like Winsor Pilates, particularly for lower body (hips, buns, thighs). The abs work in Pilates often hurts my neck.

Diana, glad to hear the good news about Ms. Connie and Brandon! Answer to prayers.

Has anyone heard from Linda? Hoping she's ok.

Yesterday I did 57 incline pushups. Was supposed to be 53, 57, 60 and done. I'm going to do 53,55, 57, 59, and 60; will finish this week.
