It's been a very busy time of year for us so not posting much. I used my two free days for the last two days. It's been a while since I've done that. Our snow is gone mostly but very cool and damp. Rumor has it we'll get a few nicer days here this week. My dog could really use an opportunity to burn out some carbon.

Vannie, thanks for the youtube clip. I'll check it and her channel out later. I did discuss my hamstrings w/my P.T. Even though I was stretching my hamstring, my form wasn't quite right and so she corrected it and it made a difference. Then we discussed how weak the left hamstring was and she gave me a couple new really simple exercises that are more beneficial. I'm kind of wishing sometimes that I had majored in physical therapy. There are so many small tips that make big differences and how do you know?

Vannie, that sounds like a really great run yesterday.

MT, I wish I had great advice on your frustration right now w/exercise and diet. Stress eating has been a serious frustration for me for years. It has gotten better. I don't exactly why or how but at some point, things changed. Hang in there!

Scarlett, so glad you'll continue to join in with us!

Waves to Sherry.

EFFECTIVE 10/15 all times on my goals move to half hour later except junk food cutoff

Katie, I often wish I had the education of a physical therapist but wouldn't want to practice and have to touch people!

I thought I posted my workouts earlier but looks like I only thought it. I did a newbie, 22 Minute Hard Corps Resistance 1, which I really liked even though it was tough. Then I did an oldie, Rodney Yee's Yoga Burn, the one without the gloves, which he called Slow Burn Yoga in the intro.

Sherry, how did your appt go?

I cleaned some in the kitchen yesterday but didn't finish. I really need to tackle the laundry room and dog closet. The mess is starting to bother me!

Wed 10/16---7 minutes obedience training-- this is the first training session without Chianna and I missed her so much, it was hard for me. She loved these sessions, probably mostly for the treats, but she was so focused on me and doing what I said. She was so eager. At the end of sessions I usually toss treats for them to catch and they were both so cute waiting, watching and trying to catch. She didn't get up much for them in the past few months, just tried to catch them while sitting. So sweet. Cyric leaps for them. Thankfully he is also very eager and trips over himself trying to figure out what I want. He knows the commands but he gets so excited to train that he just tries to almost guess what I'll say. I wish I had been more diligent about doing this, for both their sakes. So the lesson is, don't beat myself up, try to move forward and make things better for Cyric.

Decided to run tmrw instead of today. Supposed to be less windy tmrw. This morning I did an old Denise Austin, Blast Away 10 Lbs second workout, and the Blissology Wed quickie.

Vannie, I'm glad that Cyric is doing well with the training. Thanks for asking, my test went okay. I just saw the ultrasound technician and he did an EKG and echocardiogram. Of course, my heart was beating out of my chest with anxiety, so hopefully that doesn't mess up the results. My bp is almost back to normal now, so I think the spikes are due to anxiety. I go in Tuesday for the results, so I'm still having some anxiety.

I go in Wednesday to my doctor, and I'm going to ask her about options for the anxiety. I don't really want to go on medication, but I'd like to find ways to deal with it before doctor appointments and tests. I'm eating healthy, exercising, doing meditation, and it helps some, but I need something extra for the day of appointments.

Sherry, there are some natural and herbal supplements that can help with anxiety. You would want to make sure they don't interact with your BP meds (or any other meds you may be on) before taking any if you decide to go that route. Let me know if you want any info on it. I'm by no means a qualified expert, I just have researched and tried a lot for myself. A non-pill option that you could try risk free (well, a few dollars risk) is chamomile tea. It's been helping me sleep a little better and my aunt even drinks it during the day sometimes to calm herself. It's good that you started meditation bc I'm a big believer in that for anxiety, as well as yoga. For me running helps too, but I know that isn't accessible to everyone. I hope you can find smthg that works for you.

Vannie, I've tried different teas, such as chamomille and lemon balm, and also cbd oil. It doesn't really have an effect for me. Exercise and meditation help a lot, but it doesn't stop the extreme anxiety. I did do some yoga yesterday morning, and that helped a lot too. Eventually it goes away as the situation resolves itself, so I just have to get through it. I'm going to ask my doctor about it, and I'm thinking of going to a therapist for some cognitive behavior therapy. Although, I will say the Anxiety meditations from the Calm App have been really helpful lately. But if you have other suggestions, I'm open to them. Thanks for the help.

Our aussie, Doc, was the same way about storms as Chianna. He could sense them much earlier than when they got here. I think he was better at it than the weather man.
I finally watched this video after rereading the thread. I didn't do it right away so of course I forgot. It had some really good stuff. Thanks again for sharing, Katie!

I haven't run yet today. Not sure that I will. I did another virgin, Core Secrets 25 Minute Full Body Workout. I really liked it. I forgot how much I like the stability ball. Then I did the Thurs quickie from Blissology. My hamstrings are kind of achy so I modified all forward bends.

Sherry, I'll email you.
