Lucky you. My friend is 600 on the wait list for "Testaments" at our library. I haven't even tried putting it on hold yet.

I think I lucked out and saw when they were adding it to the system (it showed up in searches but wasn't in). So then I stalked the website until I saw it was available to reserve.

I just finished Among the Hidden, first book in the Shadow Children series. It's YA. It was very good.
Now I am reading Evvie Drake Starts Over...fun read.

Good tip on After the Flood -- thank you! I'm listening to Bad Blood at the moment. Really enjoying it, but I'd really like a book about a silicon valley woman that's positive. I need to see if one exists!

Anyone read anything by Elizabeth Hand?

She's got a new book out , Curious Toys.

Our library has some of her other work, thrillers, it looks like.

I haven't read any of her books, but I've heard good things about Curious Toys.

I'm almost finished with my first-ever Donna Leone novel, Death in a Strange Country. I will be downloading a lot of her books from my library in the future!

Next up is Peter Robinson's Careless Love.

I've been reading David Baldacci's Split Second--it's been good for an engaging, fast-moving read. I am also just starting yogi Seane Corn's memoir.
