Welcome! You've come to the right place for reviews and opinions about workout videos. Have you read about Total Fitness DVDs yet? They have good prices and many of the international participants rave unabashedly about their shipping rates.

This is a great site and you will find lots of information here. Get your wallet ready! I've never been to Germany but my mom has several times. The one time I went to Europe it was France & England. I need to go back! PS - as I was perusing this thread I noticed that when I first posted - on the first page - it was on my 16th wedding anniversary, and we just celebrated 25 years, my son was 9.5 years old and he is now a freshman in college...I had 2 cats, now I have 4...

Hi there folks,
(I posted this on the wrong board a wee second ago, so am posting here, where it seems to fit better) I'm Chris, a recent convert to barre style exercising. I live in Glasgow, Scotland where I work as a nurse in ITU. I live with my lovely man, and we have an allotment where we grow lots of delish veggies. Why am I here? I found this site doing a search for Physique 57: I was delighted to find all you fans here! I'm the only person I know of who is into this form of exercise. As a life-time paranoia-type about the heftyness of my legs, I can proudly say that barre style (P57 mostly but some Bar Method and some callanetics classes) exercising has re-shaped my legs and they are looking lovely! I do cardio in the form of cycling (mountain and road) and running; but neither of these have any effect on my shape - well, they can reduce my size/fat etc, but no change in contours. P57 especially has been my miracle: 'cellulite, bye bye!', as Tanya might say. Barre is so addictive: this is me just in from a busy nightshift, but I will be getting up in 5 hours for more P57. I have the new P57 on order and am anxiously awaiting their arrival....mid jan to mid feb for such long distance packages, alas! As I type my arms, shoulders and sides are aching after my 1st Squeeze Stronger session: gauged the weights wrong and started with 4kg per hand....ouch!! (is it just me or is Squeeze Stronger's music just plain dreadful?! All the porn-style cleavage closeups too...P57 is so much more classy!) If it's ok with you guys, I'll ask a few form questions soon. As I mentioned, I've done live callanetics classes so I have been thoroughly instructed in the correct way of tucking core and turning hips. As some of you have said, BM is fantastic for form tips (as is Callanetics Evolution - but man oh man, it's DULL!). I'll get around to asking in a wee whiley...but zzzzzz: need my sleep now! It'll be nice to meet all you fellow barrettes... Night night from snowy Glasgow.. xxc |
