Are we ready for SHOVEL MAX 2020-2021?

First snowstorm of the season swinging through my hometown starting this evening, and it's affecting a lot of other VF'ers.

Who is ready? I'm not! Check in here with your frosty workouts and tell us all about it.

Stay safe, get your bread, milk and toilet paper, charge your electronics and don't forget the wine!

I'm ready!! I live in New York (about 2 hours north of the city) and we are supposed to get hammered. Mother nature has been very kind so far.....but I'm guessing she's getting bored w/ the pleasant weather and wants to remind us who's in charge!!

Perhaps I'll report back w/ the total snow amounts if others want to join in.

It looks like we're just going to get slush. As a native New Englander, this is depressing, but considering where I live now (No. VA) doesn't believe in plowing, it's a blessing. I mean, I can't shovel max the whole street.

We have all we need. I hope we do not get hit badly in NJ. I cannot shovel due to a chronic shoulder injury and low back issues. My husband is sick, ( sinus infection and possibly bronchitis which he will be doing a telemedicine appointment for this morning, so it will be on our son to do it. Luckily we just got our snowblower repaired.

I will likely bake cookies tonight or sometime tomorrow..

I'm in NJ and am as ready as I'll ever be. I've been stocking up on non-perishable food and water due to COVID, so I'm not worried about that, but I am worried about losing power. I have a huge snowblower and relatives that will help dig me out, so I'll be ok, but I'm tired of winter and want to move to a warmer climate!

Sherry, If I do have power, I plan to bake tonight as well.

Muggle, I'll report snow totals too!

Uck, slush can be worse. Horrible to shovel and move around!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

We had early snow, it melted and so far has been dry and above normal temps. I'm happy with that up here in the Northland of Minnesota!

Gotta admit Shovel Max is a good workout (oy my back).

Our predictions are for 12 inches. They said it will be the light, fluffy snow that piles up quickly but is not as heavy as the wet snow. I would rather the fluffy stuff for shoveling, obviously. We've got the snow blower all ready....

Fourteen inches expected here in RI. Dreading it a bit as we live on a corner lot with a lot to shovel. Last year I suffered with frozen shoulder so we had a snow service clear driveway and walkways. Not ready, but we'll see....

As ready as I'll ever be. Our weekly grocery delivery should sneak in this afternoon, right before the snow starts. I'm stocked up on ice-melt stuff and the shovel is waiting by the door! We're getting anywhere between 8 and 17 inches, depending on if the storm hits us bang-on and/or if it turns into sleet overnight so we have an icy mess instead of fluffy snow. I'll do the initial shovel this evening, as long as it isn't too windy, and Spouse will do the final clean-up(s) tomorrow.
