I don't like that white, echo-y background.
I think the instructor's manner might fit a live class setting better -- with the shouting and intense encouraging. Kinda odd in a video like this. (ETA: Dana Pieper shouts in her newest dvd but b/c of the setting, backgrounders, it just fits.)

These look good, and the potential was there. I think the production is a little lacking... My $$ is safe.

I watched the clip again and this time the background didn't bother me as much (tho why they would do that is beyond me) but the shouting did. I was looking around over my shoulder to see if anyone in the house was hearing it and then quickly turned the volume down.
I would really have liked to see a background setting and more colorful clothes like the clip on her website.
Definitely will wait on these for reviews and maybe a longer clip on Mary's.
No rush.

I agree, though it's their first foray into the video world. I'd agree that instructing in a video is not the same as a live class, though I still hate the clapping into the mic. An instructor at Pure Barre did that once and it sounded like gun shots. Freaked me out!

I wanted to just chime in here and say when I did the Mix workout, I barely looked at the screen. I may have glanced at it a few times but not enough where the white bothered me or to notice that she wasn't doing most of the workout. Watching the Collage clip was annoying for me (and funny at the part mentioned before "left, center and left, center and left...") Doing the workout was much different.

At least in my experience.

ETA - what really bothered me though (and I mentioned this in a different thread about it) was that the workout starts right away. There's no menu, no chapters, nothing. It just starts.

She did have a download originally. Was it all white also

Is it still available? How does it compare to these?

I have the download and it's done in a class setting, just like the DB workouts. I think they are done in a real studio. There is not shouting in the download, and at least one of the women (the dark haired one) is in that workout too. I will probably end up getting these at some point, but I'm not in a hurry.

Well, I was more inclined to order before seeing the clips! Maybe Mary will have better clips or VFers will post good reviews, but I don't see anything exciting here.
