Cathe’s response about low impact when asked on Facebook.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I can understand where you might feel uncertain about the workout being as low impact as you were expecting as many people have different opinions of what they feel low impact activity is or should be. While I’m not saying this is how you feel, it’s also true that many people have a tendency to confuse low impact with no impact workouts. By definition low impact workouts are workouts where one foot remains on the floor at all times. No impact is where the activity is completely non weight bearing. Swimming with a flotation device would be an example of no impact. I created Perfect 30 low impact Hiit with choreography that keeps one foot on the floor at all times with every move. I cue the entire workout reminding you to stay low without jumping. I give the exerciser the option to jump if they want to but I make it a point to remain low and let you know that I’m staying low for the whole workout. To make up for less impact going down on the floor I create a lot of energy through the upper body to increase the intensity and live up to the Hiit title. I hope you’ll join us for this workout. It’s so much fun. |
