I usually use a laptop screen for workouts, either streamed or downloaded.
For me it is the easiest and fastest way to workout and I do several sparks a day. Both laptops are hooked up to old power speakers because I need music. I could use a HDmi cable if I wanted to use my HDTV but the laptop is good enough and I would have to move a coffee table to use the TV with a bungee. No smart phone but I do have a tablet and a special HDmi cable that has a smaller end for the tablet's HDmi port. However, I use the tablet without the tv for videos that are filmed in portrait mode (higher instead of wider) like some facebook b bOUNDER videos. Honestly, it is easier to hook up a laptop or mobile device to a HDTV with a HDmi cable than hook up a dvd player to a tv. The HD TV just needs the correct HDmi imput selected. ETA: I did alot of free trials and only stayed subscribed to reasonably priced subscriptions that I am currently into. My current favorite is $10 a month for wonderful routines with good music and scenery: https://walkingonlineworkouts.vhx.tv/browse I have annual subs to NiaTV, BollyX and Healthy UTV which were all less than half priced. (Leslie Sansone is only $5 a month but I already have all of her routines.) I own streamed content for Jessica Smith, Misty Tripoli, Suzanne Andrews, and Sue Grant as well as a few others like Zumba Strong, Lee Holden 30Day, and Body by Simone Trampoline. If given a choice of streamed content or dvd, I now prefer streamed content. I stream directly online from the websites because I have a decent internet. Otherwise, would need an app or downloaded file but not all streams offer offline availability. Barb S
