I usually "sync" or "cast" to a media stream device that is hooked up to my TV. So, if I'm doing a Cathe On Demand workout, I play it through my iPhone through Google Chrome attached to my big screen TV. If I'm doing a YouTube video, same thing. Hope that makes sense.

Well my phone is one better than a flip phone but not much! I don't even know what an HDMI cable is and still don't know what an android phone vs an iphone vs a smart phone vs whatever!!
Other than other workout options such as CatheLive for instance and saving space from not having dvds, are there any other pluses to streaming that I'm missing? Thanks for your responses and not making me feel totally stupid! |

I have no new insight about the situation itself (Chromecast here), but I agree completely that this question isn't at all embarrassing. (I'd also hate to think that people hesitate to ask technical questions--or other questions--because of potential embarrassment. Ask away! There already exists a phrase like "the only stupid question is the one that you don't ask." I'm not sure if I'd totally agree with its literal truth , but I like its spirit. )

I'm also curious, if you like several instructors, and all of those instructors offer streaming subscriptions you have to pay monthly for, well...doesn't that get costly? I'm just wondering what people are doing as far as that goes and yes, I too wonder what I'm missing by not partaking in all the streaming options! |

I have a yearly subscription to FitFusion, because that's where the BeMax workouts are. It's less than $90 and I don't buy DVDs anymore, because they no longer make FIRM DVDs. So the FitFusion subscription is my only workout expense.
