Question What ball do you use for Pilates Super Sculpt?

Hi, I am planning on purchasing Tracey Mallett's Pilates Super Sculpt, but I don't have a small Pilates ball. Collage says that Tracey uses an 8" ball, but most of the ones I saw on Amazon (I definitely plan to order from there b/c I have credit) are 9", including the Theraband one.

However, this kid's ball seemed like a really good option, especially since it has a grippy surface:

What do you all think?

I have this one and used it on Sunday for just this workout. It was perfect.

I think what you posted would probably be fine too, since it said it was squishy and had a slightly sticky feel to it. You just want to be able to hold it behind your knee for side lying leg work. It also goes under your bottom at some points, between your ankles and also from hand to hand. Either ball should work.

ETA: The 9 inches size was completely fine, btw. I didn't think at all that it was slightly too big.

Thanks Patti! I did check out that one, but there were some poor reviews which suggested inflation and other problems--you haven't had any of those issues?

I also used a fitball mini which I think looks just like the ball she was using, but a different color.

She said you could use a playground ball, but I don't think the playground balls I have would work as well. Mine are larger, but I also think the "sponge ball" she refers to and the fitball mini are softer balls.

I've been using my Fitball Overball (amazon has it) - it's the same style that came with Barre3.

Hmm, maybe I should go with the Fitball. Is there any real difference between the Fitball Mini vs. the Overball?

I was trying to figure out that as well. I went to the Fitball web page and I didn't see it listed there. Just said 'product not found'. I noticed a couple other web pages said it was discontinued. But couldn't find any comparison.

That does seem to be the case. Probably the easiest solution would be to order Barre3! But it's not sold on Amazon, and that's where I have all this credit; it would be hard to justify buying it otherwise. Is Barre3 sold anywhere other than the Barre3 site?
