Thanks for the info and the reviews. I think I'll be passing. For now.

I actually find jackknife easier than rollover, believe it or not, although I will admit rollover's not easy. Rollover is often included in the intermediate series (I don't know why some instructors insist on including it in beginner workouts, where it's not appropriate), while jackknife sometimes appears in more advanced sequences for some reason, although I've seen intermediate practices use it (Hilary Burnett does the jackknife in her Int., for example). If I don't do the rollover for a bit I lose some of my ability to do it, and I struggle with back flexibility after pulling a muscle a while ago. That said, jackknife's pretty fun, IMHO.

Did anyone look at their Jumpboard workouts? They look like they'd fit well with a Total Gym.

Steven - how would you rate the level of these workouts? Intermediate/advanced or advanced?

Bob, there's some discussion of these workouts in this pilates reformer thread:

definitely intermediate. my biggest complaint is that the cueing is minimal to say the least. no counting, no set up for the next exercise. the price is great for 3 dvds (30min w/o) a band and a ball. it's not a complete fail, but it misses enough to make me less than thrilled.

Got my set today. Really rather annoyed to find the discs are dvd-r. Wish I'd known that beforehand.
I wonder if the single disc releases will be the same or if they'll be pressed?

Hi Richie

Where did you get your set? I just received mine from Amazon today and they were all pressed DVD's.

Maybe they didn't play in your region so they sent you the DVD- R version ??

Hi Cheryl!
How very odd! The set itself was sealed and contained the ball (and stoppers), band and paper insert from PSC.
Region coding wasn't an issue as the discs were advertised as "all region" anyway.
I got the set from balanced body (who Pilates Sports Center referred me to as they themselves don't ship outside the US).

Maybe Steven could clarify what kind of discs he received?

I even emailed PSC a couple of months ago to ask if they were pressed or burned discs but I never got a reply.
I think the set is good overall and I'm glad I got it (although Steven is right about the lack of set-up) but I'm just gutted about the lack of pressed discs.
