Playground balls?

I am looking at getting a ball to use with Fluidity and Pure Barre, but I don't have any idea what size to get?? Or brand? I see amazon has some Jfit ones for like $8? I want to make sure it's very durable as well. Any recommendations??? Do playground balls work the best, or should I get a Jfit one or I see there is one out there that is a body fusion ball?

Any info would be great! Thank you!

Gee I just picked up one of those 99cent kids' balls at my supermarket, about 7-8" across. Works just fine.

I have the "official" Fluidity ball, which I've also used for P57, and I agree a 7-8" playground ball would be just as good. For Pure Barre Pershing Square, I bought a smaller ball -- 4 or 5 inches -- at Target. I got a baby basketball because they were out of playground balls that small. The basketball's very durable but feels very rough when I wear shorts; I'd rather have a playground ball.

I bought an 8" one at Target for $3 and picked up another one at CVS for $1.

The balls always fly out from my legs so I'm using a yoga block which works much better IMO.

I found them at Target, and they look perfect. Are these durable enough to put weight on as well? Aren't there exercises where you sit on the ball to do core work?

Thanks for all the info!

Well, my official Fluidity ball no longer holds air. But, my cheapo Walmart/Target balls are still fluffy and happy.

I was careful to choose one that wasn't so full. After sitting around for a while it started to deflate a bit more, so it's a bit squishier and stays put easily. But you can use a yoga block or, even cheaper and easier, just a cushion.

That pink "Pilates" ball that came with the newest 10 Minute Solution Pilates workout is perfect for P57!!! I can inflate/deflate, using the straws, as I see fit. In fact,I like this soft ball SO much,it was worth the price of the kit

It's probably not the right size, but my kids had a Nerf football lying around so I used it one day & now it's all I use. I love how it doesn't slide around and it feels so soft & squishy but firm also.
