I just tried to use a 3 pound ball and a small (~6" playground ball ) while doing PS2. The 3 pound ball stayed put most of the time but was too heavy for all the ball moves.

The playground ball kept slipping in the behind the leg moves and was completely useless. It looks just like the PB one but maybe a bit smaller.

makes me wonder which is better bc some of the moves b/w PB PS2 and P57 are similar, but use different sized balls.

for those that have experience with both, what do you think?

also, can anyone recommend a 5" ball (perhaps from amazon) that is comparable to the pure barre ball? some that i have seen say that they are hard and i know these are supposed to be a little squishy.

thanks

Pure Barre sells their ball for $12.00, but Bar Method sells theirs for $8.00 (excluding shipping charges, of course). Does anyone know if they're the same size? I'm pretty sure the BM ball is smaller than P57's.

Ever since I got my fitball with Barre 3 I use it for all ball workouts. I love that thing!

The BM ball is smaller than P57 and bigger than PB.

Yes. I just used it for P57 Vol. 2 Classic this morning and it worked fine.

I have the ball from 10 min solution Q.S. Pilates and it works good for everything. I don't like those hard playground textured balls from p57 and bar method. Too hard and rubbery. I like the Fit Ball mini or the 10 min sol ones- they are more like mini stability balls and squishier and it helps that they are a little sticky. JMO
