Workout clothes for bigger gals...

I am on the hunt for a loose-fitting tank top with a shelf-bra. Breathable material, decently long. (We're about to head to the beach, and I want a tank to wear for when I don't want to wear my suit.)

Today I hit:
TJ Maxx and Burke Outlet -- lots of tanks but not many with shelf bras, and very few for the bigger sizes.
Nothing with a built-in bra at Walmart.
Target and Old Navy: some potentials, but nothing I really liked.

Where do y'all have the best luck with workout clothes? I'm probably hovering somewhere b/t a L and XL, depending on the cut. And I definitely don't want to pay a lot ($20 is my max).

How about Kohl's? Anyone have luck there?

Marshalls is where I see the most workout clothing and find the best deals. Of course you're probably seeing some of the same stuff at TJMaxx. It's worth a look though!

Good luck! Have fun at the beach!

I like some of the C9 tanks at Target--lots of styles and sizes here. Oops--I guess you already mentioned Target. But I've found styles online that I couldn't find at local stores, so maybe worth a peek?

I love Kohls...their Tek Gear line is really nice, and always on sale, and not a bad price to start with. They have some really pretty longer/loose yoga tanks that I get compliments on a lot.

Second the recommendation for Kohl's. Don't know about shelf bra tanks specifically, and of course everything varies by season, but a couple of months ago they had a HUGE selection of workout stuff, including lots and lots of running tanks.

Check out the mail order company Junonia. They specialize in athletic clothes for larger women. Their clothes are not cheap, but the quality is very high.

My Kohl's does NOT have a huge exercise section. Ugh! They have tons of cute Nike's etc but as far as the clothes the section is pretty small and uninspiring. It is tucked in one little corner. Disappointing bc I love shopping at Kohl's and I practically live in my workout wear.

Another place that has cute very cheap workout wear is Forever 21. I'm not sure about the sizes though. Their sizing is all over the place imo.
