Great Finds at Thrift Stores

Thrift stores carry someone else's trash that could be your treasure...this is true VF form right?

I found some great finds over the weekend:
Risers for my step. .99x4 all the same color!!
Biggest Loser Power Sculpt 3.99
Gunnar Peterson's Core Secrets with Brooke Burke!!? 3.99
Cooking Light CookBook with pretty pictures 2.99

What is the best finds you have found at a thrift store?

My best find was the entire Firm BSS4 system, complete with Transfirmer, for under $10.

I got a Fluidity Bar for $15.
(Usually my fave thrift store has nothing worth getting, when it comes to exercise, so that was an unexpected treat!)

I don't find much at thrift stores in terms of fitness finds. I have had great luck at garage sales, though. I got Kathy Smith Project You for $5 one year.

I never find anything at the closest thrift store except the ones I've donated myself.

Love Thrift Store Finds

We have several thrift/resale stores in my area, and have periodically shopped at all of them.

My latest find for $2.99 is the Jane Fond Complete Personal Trainer Series which Amazon is selling for $139.99 At this point I'm not sure if I will use it. I did preview it, and it looks okay, but not something I would do often (or ever). Rather dated. But I may try selling it on Craigslist and see what I get for it. Would I pay $139.99? No way. In fact, I wasn't even sure about paying the $2.99 for it.

I have to admit about 50% of my workout dvd's and tapes have come from thrift stores or Craigslist.

I recently purchased 4 Ellen Barrett's DVD's from Craigslist for a total of $15.00. Geez, that is like buying one and getting 3 free!

hmmm...

i've had good luck countless times.

all workouts are DVD:

Savers:
body slide in its original box: $7 after coupon (booties were still in there)
tony horton's 10 min trainer, both discs, $4 total; disc 2 was still in shrinkwrap
BSS1 & 2 add-ons (within the year that they were issued) - $2.99 each, and i got around 4 or 5 of them
BodyBar DVD, ready set superset
Core Secrets DVDs - about 4 or 5 of them that aren't in the basic set

used book store here called "Book-Off"
tony horton's p90x+: 3 of the 4 discs, $7 per disc
jessica smith 10 pounds down - both discs, $7 per disc
KCM 30 minutes to fitness (can't remember which title)
many fitness and cookbooks, $1 apiece

goodwill:
jillian's original shape up and maxmize series, $10 total
barry's bootcamp DVDs: $6 total
cathe's DVDs - several - can't remember the titles, but i got like 4 DVDs for $3 apiece

craigslist:
sealed fluidity barre w/everything (ball, all dvds, etc) - $100
BSS4 ~ TF + all discs, $35 total
stationary bike: $75
treadmill: $150

i know there's more, but the above were the major ones.
