Ok my spinning friends

I'd like to get back into spinning.

However, if I sit on that bike seat for more than 3 min my butt is so sore the next day.

I have a padded seat, and somewhere I have padded bike shorts I wore back when I was really into biking a few years ago. They may not fit cause I was about 15lbs thinner then.

Is they any hints to help my poor lady bits get use to sitting on a bike seat or is it more of less getting my poor lady bits use to sitting on a bike seat.

Thanks in advance!

You will be sore at first. The more often you do it, the less pain.

Your butt will get used to it very fast. In a few days you won feel it at all.

So, do you think that riding some everyday for a while, say, for 5-10 min, is a good way to get use to it?

I've kind of thought of riding as a warm up for 5-10 min everyday to get my butt use to the seat.

I took my first spinning class yesterday! My instructor told me my bum would adapt pretty quickly. Surprisingly, I am not sore today. We spent much of the class up off the seat. I was, however, exhausted after!

Yes, frequent short rides will help. Before long you will not have discomfort.

I'd like to get back into spinning too. So what's your plan? What workouts do you plan on doing? Post a video on youtube, I just subscribed.

I'm not really sure I have a plan lol. Right now, I'm going to ride as warm ups and cool downs for my weight lifting. Then when I don't have sore lady parts, I'll get out a 30 min spin dvd I have and give it a try.

I'm thinking of signing up for a streaming service that has lots of spinning.

I was considering a streaming service too for the fall and winter since it's dark in the morning and I won't go out for walks until spring.

Make sure the seat is adjusted properly. In a class, the instructor should be able to help. You'll still get sore but only the type of sore you do adjust to. It's normal to be "saddle sore," not normal to feel pressure, if that makes sense.
